The economisation of healthcare in Germany

Kalle Kunkel (of the German trade union ver.di) talks about the economization of the healthcare system in Germany and its consequences for the employees: extreme increases of workload and circumvention of collective agreements through outsourcing and privatization.


In the case of the hospital Charité, for example, a company owned by the state of Berlin, so-called "patient-remote" services were outsourced into Charité Facility Management GmbH (CFM).
