Solidarity Clinic

The 'Solidarity Clinic' in Thessaloniki in northern Greece was established in the autumn of 2011 by committed colleagues in the health and social care sector. The walk-in clinic is self-managed and run by the attending doctors, nurses and therapists. Up to 100 patients a day take advantage of the services offered by the walk-in clinic.

Because of the lack of health insurance protection and massive cuts to the healthcare system, the number of patients is steadily increasing. This clinic sees itself as a political project and is committed to, in addition to the actual work of the clinic, being active against health and welfare cuts, right-wing extremism and racism.
