Right to Strike in Poland

Marta Rozmysłowicz gives a short overview of the history of the base union Inicjatywa Pracownicza (IP) and talks about the right to strike in Poland, where it is de facto almost impossible to strike.

The video was recorded as a contribution to the event "The Right To Strike Is A Human Right", which took place in Berlin on 10 December 2022. 

Marta is a member of the IP legal team, as well as of the IP national comitee. She studies labour and healt&safety law at Poznan university. A few years ago, she worked at Amazon warehouse for one and a half years, where she was a member of the organizing comitee and a shop steward. When Amazon did not prolong her work contract, she started to study law in order to use this knowledge as a tool for the labour movement.
