Ouvrières?

This short documentary shows women factory workers and their working environment in the clothing industry across three continents. Through impressive shots and sometimes ear-splitting noise, the film imparts, for a moment, an insight into what factory work is like today. The workers talk about their desire to not be dependent on others and outline their daily working routine – their testimonies often resemble each other in striking ways.

The collective ‘Images en transit’, which began in 2010, brings together 6 artists from three continents.

The documentary is "not so much about globalization, but rather a film about those people who do the work and without whom nothing would be produced."
